Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club is considered to be one of the most enjoyable in Kent. Blessed with a wonderful natural landscape of the Kent coast, panoramic views and tricky sea breezes Walmer & Kingsdown provides a stern test for golfers of all abilities.
Situated above the English Channel upon the White cliffs of Dover this James Braid designed gem is now over 100 years old having originally been opened by Braid and Harry Vardon in 1909.
Measuring over 6,400 yards off the white tees, the challenge of the course is in the elevation changes offered as well as the way in which 5-time Open Champion Braid was able to challenge each player so well off the tee and with testing approaches into well-protected greens. With panoramic views across the white cliffs of Dover and into the Garden of England that is Kent, a round of golf at Walmer and Kingsdown is sure to be a memorable one.

Walmer & Kingsdown happens to be the closest course to Europe, with just a stretch of water separating it from the continent, it is also one of the few courses in the world where you can actually see another country while playing a round.
At 6,471 yards from the back tees it is no monster but the sloping landscape together with the wind will make you think about every shot. With a sharp ridge and steep valley leading into the adjoining countryside, every hole offers panoramic views that will leave you speechless.
But don't let the stunning scenery distract you from the game at hand. The course is a true test of skill, with challenges that will keep golfers of all abilities on their toes.
And when you're done with your round, the clubhouse facilities and catering will make sure you're well taken care of. From the superb condition of the course to the stunning location and views, every aspect of the Walmer & Kingsdown is designed to deliver a memorable experience that will have you coming back for more.

A really nice golf course to play with spectacular views on some of the holes. The wind made some of the holes really challenging to play.

Fab cliff-top course with lots of changes in elevation, lots of wind and a number of blind tee shots… a real challenge. Great experience and good value.

What a great club and course, you could say quirky and different especially the back nine, makes you really think about your game. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the views and nothing less than spectacular

The greens had not long been hollow tinned, we should have been informed.

Always hard on a new course especially with many severely sloping fairways but enjoyable challenge and excellent views. When compared to the green fees of Princes Club, it represented good value.
