Alwoodley golf club is situated in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Founded in 1907, the Alwoodley Golf Club is widely regarded to be the home of one of England’s finest inland courses. The Mackenzie Course was the first to be completed by Dr. Alister Mackenzie, who went on to compile a profile including immense names such as Augusta National, Cypress Point and Royal Melbourne. However of these amazing golf courses, Alwoodley was the first course he designed and this is now known as the Original MacKenzie Course.

The original MacKenzie course layout has remained the same to this day, however the course has since been lengthened to over 6900 yards from the championship tees. The club has always been careful to retain the main characteristics of the beautiful layout left by Dr Alister MacKenzie
