Arabian Ranches Golf Club

Arabian Ranches is strictly a pay-as-you-play course, and this makes it superb value for the golf holiday-maker in Dubai. The two loops of nine reflect the natural character of the landscape as much as possible, which has been skilfully manipulated by former Open champion Baker-Finch to create some memorable holes.

Accommodation at Arabian Ranches Golf Club

The Spanish Colonial style Clubhouse boasts the Ranches Restaurant and Bar, with a terrace overlooking the panoramic scenic views over the 9th and 18th holes - it's a great place to meet and there's a wonderful international menu.

Within the Clubhouse there are 11 luxurious Guest Rooms which enjoy spectacular views over the golf course or the lake. Each en-suite room is beautifully furnished and comes with luxuries such as LCD satellite television, broadband internet, mini bar and ipod docking station.

The course is challenging and was going through some refurbishment but overall was in good condition , the staff and customer care was excellent as was the club shop and restaurant, food first class, Good wi fi and good service, club overall not stuffy, welcomed guests and made us think we’d return one day , other course users were very accommodating too

We loved playing here but... 1330 tee. On arrival they had us down as 3 men and put with us a south Korean gentleman. He had himself removed from us on finding out we were ladies. Very disappointed to find it was a shotgun start and we were in the middle of 2 large groups of society player's. We had no clue where we were going and were just abandoned by the starter at a Pat junction left to our own devices. Play was very slow not helped by the drinking of the groups infront of us. We have no problem with them having a drink but slowing everyone up was not good. A major problem of us being in the middle of a shotgun start. Something we had not been made aware of and did not like. Staff at the club were excellent as was the food.

Difficult due to blind holes or obscure dog-legs. Difficult to determine value for money as individual pricing was not detailed in the package, Suffice to say we would not choose to re-visit this course.

organisation was a bit lax as they did not have our reserved tee time in their system. They accepted it was their failure to put it on their system as they had the email from the agent. No problem though as the course was not busy. 2nd tier by Dubai standards but a friendly place and the course is certainly OK if not great.
