Very nice hotel with good facilities. Room clean and comfortable. Disappointed with the evening service and quality of dinner. Waiting staff require more training. Don’t go to take the order without knowing the soup of the day or catch of the day! Breakfast however was very good. Golf course was very well maintained with lovely landscaping

Nice hotel, the room was perfect. They hold a lot of functions and main bar seemed to struggle with the amount of people, not enough staff on but the staff that were working were great. Food in the main restaurant was fantastic.

Staff were friendly and tried their best but the ran out of beer and wine on a busy Ryder Cup weekend! Service took a long time and 2-3 times of asking.

I booked through ygt for a golf night away for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hotel was stunning, I booked a double room and got upgraded to a Superior Fairway room which had a view of the 18th hole which was amazing. The food at dinner and breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly but service could have been a bit quicker on the evening of our dinner. The spa was basic but was nice and clean and did it’s job for the time we spent there. Overall, our experience at this hotel was great and we would return.

The scenery around the course was second to none. Up until the following day when I played Royal Birkdale this was probably the best kept and most scenic golf course I have ever played

Going out of season meant the course was under maintenance, the greens had just been sanded so not the best to play on but needs to be done. The weather has been terrible and the course held up well to it. A challenging course made difficult by gale force winds! Would love to play on a sunny afternoon! Quick round but course was quiet due to such bad weather.

Average course in average condition. Slow round but to be expected at a resort course.

The fairways had suffered from the drought but the greens were excellent. We got behind a visiting party so it was a bit slow. We have played the Old Course several times and always enjoy it's layout.

Overall it was a good experience, despite turning up for our tee time and being advised we had been moved back over an hour. Course was good but fairways suffering from the dry spell and bunkers need a bit of attention. Slow on 2nd day due to following a Senior comp! Not advised of this! Excellent facilities and GPS electric trolleys were a bonus

A stunning course to play, but a shame that our first round took 5 hours. The 2nd round was coming close to that so we came off at the 9th hole to make it more enjoyable

All in all great condition, superb greens, although very tricky, tuff course in general that will punish any off day. Championship set up.
