    Golf De Chateau de Chailly

The 6,721 yard course was designed by Thierry Sprecher and Géry Watine - the French PGA champion in 1989 - and although it is relatively challenging, especially from the back tees, the predominant characteristic of Chailly is the amazing natural beauty of the surroundings.

There are large expanses of sand, as well as some tricky water hazards, and the average golfer is certain to enjoy a golf holiday at what is certainly among the country's most beautiful.

The Chateau Chailly is a medieval fortress that was tastefully converted into a Renaissance chateau, and now provides luxury hospitality to visitors to the delightful Burgundy region.

The authentic French destination is home to 45 bedrooms and suites, and is now classed as a national monument. The majority of the rooms are located is lovely annexes that overlook the estate, courtyards and the golf course, and are decorated and furnished in the most opulent fashion.

The fantastic harmony achieved at Chateau Chailly between traditional character and modern facilities has elevated the venue in to the upper echelons of French luxury golf holiday destinations.

The outdoor swimming pool is heated during the summer months, and is surrounded by a lovely sun terrace. The chateau also boasts a tennis court, hammam therapy and a Jacuzzi, while you can enjoy the billiard room or mountain biking in the country estate.

If you feel adventurous, why not take a ride in one of the hot air balloons that take off from the chateau's grounds?

The Armançon Restaurant is a gourmet experience, made all the more special by the selection of vintage Burgundy wines that are stored in the chateau cellar.

The Rubillon bistro offers excellent dining in a more relaxed environment, and the Lion's Bar is the place to convene for drinks before or after dinner.
