Hilton Bournemouth sits just steps from Bournemouth Gardens, you're around five minutes on foot from the beach and promenade, with the bars and restaurants of Bournemouth close enough that you can head out without needing taxis all night.
It's a modern, chic Hilton with a proper "weekend away" feel, not just somewhere to sleep between tee times. You've got an award-winning restaurant on site, a stylish lobby bar and a spa that comes into its own after a full day on your feet.
For easy entertainment, the BH1 leisure centre is just over the road with restaurants, a cinema and Mulligan's crazy golf if you fancy something light-hearted after your round. There's parking to the side of the entrance and the hotel is straightforward to find from the main road, which is exactly what you want when the group rolls in on Friday afternoon.
Golf-wise, you're a short drive from a strong mix of Dorset favourites including Parkstone, Broadstone, Ferndown and Isle of Purbeck, with Bournemouth itself giving you plenty to do once the clubs are back in the boot. If you want a town-centre base with comfort, food and a spa in your back pocket, this ticks a lot of boxes.
Who is this for?
Golfers or groups looking for a high-quality base in Bournemouth that combines modern comfort with easy access to the town's golf courses, nightlife and seafront. It suits couples, small groups and societies who want a bit of luxury without being stuck out in the countryside.
Who is it best for?
Groups who want to mix quality golf with a lively town atmosphere, and golfers who appreciate a proper spa and restaurant after a day on the course. It's also ideal if you're playing multiple courses in the area and want a central, hassle-free base with parking and good facilities.

Hilton Bournemouth has 172 rooms and 14 suites, with calm, minimalist décor and big windows that bring in plenty of natural light. Depending on which side you're on, you'll look out across the town or towards the English Channel, which is a nice bonus if you're making a weekend of it rather than just playing and travelling.
Rooms come in cool, coastal tones with the essentials golfers actually care about: complimentary WiFi, an HDTV, individually controlled air conditioning and heating, and a walk-in shower with complimentary toiletries. If you're travelling with a society or planning a couple of nights, it's worth looking at the executive rooms and suites for extra space and Executive Lounge access, which gives you a quieter spot to plan the next day's golf or just escape the group for a bit.
Food and drink is a strong part of the stay. Schpoons & Forx is the main restaurant, a modern British all-day spot with an open kitchen, plus a tandoor and stone oven. The menu leans on fresh local produce, so it's an easy win whether you're grabbing breakfast before an early tee time or settling in for dinner after 18. I'm a sucker for a hotel you can actually enjoy after golf, and having a decent restaurant on site makes a real difference when you don't want to trek back out into town.
For a more relaxed drink, That Bar Downstairs is on the ground floor and does the job from morning coffee through to evening cocktails and wine. It's ideal if you want a quick nightcap without trekking back out, or if you're meeting the group before heading into Bournemouth for the night.
If recovery is part of the plan, there's a 24-hour fitness centre and the eforea spa and health club, with an indoor heated plunge pool, sauna and steam room. Treatments typically include facials and massage options, so it's a handy upgrade if you're bringing partners or non-golfers, or you've got back-to-back rounds booked and need to sort out your lower back before the next tee time.
If you're building a Dorset golf tour, Hilton Bournemouth is a smart base to pair with courses like Parkstone or Ferndown, with the seafront and nightlife close by when you're finished for the day.

Hotel and facilities were great right in centre of Bournemouth with restaurants and bars very close. Unfortunately Bournemouth is no longer the seaside town jewel it used to be with lots of rough sleepers and beggars. Like many town centres shops have closed down. Using the hotel facilities and restaurants close by you can avoid being hassled. Bournemouth traffic was also a nightmare so allow enough time to reach any courses your playing.

£15 parking charge and £50 room deposit required. Parking charge taken from deposit. Nice hotel. Close to town.

Our group of four were away for one night to play golf locally. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Centrally located - although the view from my room was definitely NOT the sea - so close to bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and efficient. It’s not super fancy, of course, but it absolutely did the job.
