Golf Courses at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club

Killeen Course

The Killeen Course is the most established at Killarney, and is a proven tournament host, having welcomed the ladies for the Curtis Cup in 1996, and also the European Tour professionals for the Irish Open in 2010 and 2011. Ross Fisher held of a star-studded line up in 2010 to take the victory, with fellow Englishman Simon Dyson taking the honors in 2011.

This gives an insight into the difficulty of the course, especially in bad weather. Holes like the tough 13th, known locally as the ‘Tiger Hole', have benefited from recent changes to add length, more water hazards and faster, redesigned greens, as part of a strategy to make this beautiful South West Ireland track even more challenging.

Lackabane Course

Donald Steel's Lackabane Course is the newest addition to Killarney's impressive portfolio, and has already established a reputation for being a formidable test. This parkland track will test the long game of even the best players. Numerous lakes and streams are part of the myriad of hazards to be negotiated around this modern classic.

Mahony's Point Course

Mahony's Point may be the shortest of Killarney's offerings, but it features some of the most entertaining holes around. The highlight of this experience is the closing stretch, not least the famous final hole, a 200-yard par-3 which demands a monstrous carry over the blue water of Killarney's lakes. These courses together are testament to the fantastic golf, and awe-inspiring beauty that can be experienced on a golf break or tour in Killarney.

Lovely place, but very slow. Had to give up after 12 holes (4 hours) following some people who were taking 3 shots to get past the teeing ground on a regular basis. No Course Marshall to be seen.

Stunning course and clubhouse in another beautiful location WOW

A reasonable quality course and mostly on flat terrain. The bar is on the upper level and provides a view of the coarse, lake and mountains. Whilst the course is well maintained the Mahoneys course, where we played this time is less demanding than the Killarney course that we have played previously.

Hard to judge the course conditions given the torentiall rain. Simpler of the 2 courses and with the holes being fairly straight forward and not exciting when compared to Killeen Shame about the weather when we played.

Definitely the better of the 2 courses. The views along the water were fantastic and the holes were both interesting and testing. Greens were a bit slow following the rain in the morning but were in good condition.

Fabulous experience .. great facilities with stunning holes on the front nine around the lake but 10th and 18th were the stand out holes. Great condition, course superbly manicured with many deer roaming around in the distance. A real special feel to the place.

Nice course in a great location with fantastic views. I would say that the course probably plays best in the summer months, however saying that the wind and rain was particularly harsh on our visit. Clubhouse and food were fantastic.

Stunning location surrounded by the lakes and mountains. It provided a nice mix with other links courses that we played. The course could benefit from a range to warm up but there are two nets. The putting and chipping greens have a beautiful backdrop of the lakes.

As with the Killeen course, a great track. You lose the views of Killeen as it's predominantly on the back, away from the lock but the last 3 holes were amazing
