King's North is firmly established among Myrtle Beach's elite, particularly since the legendary Arnold Palmer cast his magic wand over the original layout in 1996.
Arnie's remit had no boundaries, and he proceeded to move over 400,000 cubic yards of earth and plant 7,000 azaleas and 600 hardwood trees. Having now matured beautifully, King's North is regarded by many to be the finest course along the Grand Strand, and is home to some truly outstanding holes.
There are few more enjoyable courses in Myrtle Beach, and even across the United States, where the amazing array of pure white sand and treacherous water. Among the accolades that have been bestowed upon King's North, the course has been named one of ‘America's Top Ten New Upscale Courses', and was also ranked as ‘South Carolina's Best Course' in 1997.
The highlights are many around Palmer's design, which builds up to a dramatic crescendo with the spectacular 18th, lined with no less than 40 bunkers, helping to underline why King's North is an integral part of a Myrtle Beach golf holiday for the avid player.
Of King's North amazing holes, the short 12th, with its island green and ‘SC' shaped bunkers, must be the signature.
