0800 043 6644The English Course is best characterised as an inland links, with large, elevated greens which are guarded by devilish pot bunkers. Designed by Martin Hawtree, one of England's leading golf architects, the English Course stretches to 6,170 yards, and is a superb holiday course, always maintained to an excellent standard.
The American Course is arguably the more dramatic of the two at La Tournette, and differs greatly in character to its neighbour. The expansive greens features sweeping undulations, and are protected by treacherous water hazards. The opening stretch is carved through impressive woodland, requiring accurate driving, while the back nine is the highlight of the complex - the American Course has its own version of Augusta's ‘Amen Corner', where you can go from hero to zero in the blink of an eye. With two championship courses set in a charming landscape, La Tournette is a highly desirable and popular component in a golf escape to the greater Brussels area.
Beautiful course in great condition. Lovely fairways and some challenging holes. well designed. the club house and facilities were excellent.
Excellent golf course
Beautiful course well laid out Greens a bit sandy Need a buggy to play
Of the two courses here this was the favourite. Superb par 3's and some holes that on first look just take your breath away. Each hole has it's own unique challenge. Not an easy course and set up to be a challenge to all golfers. Some higher handicappers may find it a touch tough and with the huge, well sanded bunkers awaiting, it needs to be carefully negotiated.
Excellent all round. Warm welcome and well organised. A true test of golf on a well designed course. Some tight drives, good fairways and the greens were excellent. Bunkers well tended and a lovely 18th hole to finish with. Will certainly be back.
The course is currently in extremely poor condition, with preferred lies on the fairways and the greens hollow tyned and dressed with sand. They then remove the sand with a tractor pulled scraper which lifts the grass and makes it impossible to putt.
What a beautiful course, well manicured and looked after. I would put this down as a hard course for higher handicappers. Narrowish fairways (not all holes though), lots of bunkers and lots of ponds/lakes. You definitely need to be a straight hitter. The course also makes you think about club choice as well. Also, it is very hilly, lots of ups and downs to the course. Unfortunately we played this course in temperatures of 38C, which didn't help with the speed of the round coupled with its difficulty for our group of higher handicaps. This course was about a 30 minute (mostly motorway) drive from Mons.
