First of all the room could not be secured as the balcony door catch was broken and a very nasty hook and eye had been fitted which would keep noone out. We were offered another room but this had an identical arrangement. Otherwise the room was adequate. The hotel had piped "background" music in all public areas and was inescapable. The manager told me that this was Melia Group policy. We took half board and regretted it. The food was poor at best. The only evidence of cookery skill was in the scrambled eggs, which were cooked and presented properly. The rest looked crude and amateurish. The dining room itself looked more like a staff canteen then a 4 star hotel. Cheap and nasty tables and chairs with no table cloth at either breakfast or dinner. Overall, we hated this hotel and will never again use any Melia Group hotel.
This popular hotel enjoys an enviable location on the coastline of Marbella; close to countless golf courses, an impressive array of bars and restaurants and the famous marinas dotted up and down the Southern Spanish coast.
Marbella enjoys its own micro climate and anyone booking a golf holiday here can almost be assured perfect weather that will compliment the Mediterranean charm of this luxurious and well equipped hotel.
