Right, if you like your parkland golf properly polished, Remedy Oak is a belter. This is one of the most talked-about inland courses in the south, built through 256 acres of ancient woodland once enjoyed by Edward VI. It feels secluded, it's immaculately presented and it rewards the golfer who's happy to think their way round rather than just lash driver on every tee.
Remedy Oak has also proved it can stand up to serious competition as a past host of Open Championship Regional Qualifying, so it's more than capable of testing very good players. Remedy Oak stretches across 256 acres of ancient woodland, weaving through hardwood trees, mature conifers, heather and wild grasses, with water coming into play on eight holes. The par-72 layout measures 7,010 yards from the tips, but with four tee options on every hole, golfers of all abilities can find a length that suits their game. That flexibility is one of the course's great strengths. It's a genuine championship test from the back tees, yet still enjoyable from the forward markers.
Course designer John Jacobs has created a masterpiece that winds its way through the woodland with real variety and intelligence. Tree-lined corridors and subtle elevation changes mean you'll want to pick targets carefully and commit. Water comes into play on eight holes, so there are a few tee shots where position matters more than length. You'll need to think your way around, placing tee shots carefully and managing your approach angles, because the course punishes wayward shots without being unfair.

To be fair to the course, the weather conditions (very wet) didn’t allow us to see it in its best light. We enjoyed it but had to switch our intended second round there the next day as the course was closed following more overnight rain. However…..this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. YGT were efficient and relocated us to Isle of Purbeck at short notice and that turned out to be a VERY GOOD THING. See next review.

Great Course but with over 3 miles in total walking between green to next tee, it made the round quite slow as weather was in 30’s I would recommend buggys

What an amazing golf club. Been wanting to play this course for a while and I was not disappointed. From the moment we were greeted by the staff in the pro shop it was such a great experience. The course was in amazing condition and would highly recommend to any golfers wanting to play this course

ROGC has struggled with drainage since its inception, which was evident when we played, however significant recent maintenance should ensure that the course is tip top for summer. That said we enjoyed the experience immensely, some real standout holes, slight feel of a smaller scale Woburn about it! Clubhouse, staff were awesome, and possibility of seeing one or two famous local residents in the clubhouse!

Beautiful course in good condition and in very scenic surroundings. Suspect they do not get many groups of visiting women - the Goody Pack was a can of the local beer and the female changing rooms very small with one loo! Clubhouse typical modern new build with lots of beams and glass - very comfortable if a little soulless - all staff very helpful and welcoming

The course was amazing, and you could tell it would be absolutely fantastic after a period of dry weather but because it has been wet there was still a lot of wet areas which meant there was no roll on any fairway making the course very hard for people of average ability. The greens were in great condition though and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Fantastic experience, the whole place is second to none from the welcome by the pro through to driving out the gate a course for anyone’s bucket list. As you would expect from someone of John Jacobs experience a course that tests every part of your game and beautifully presented, I just hope to return.

I don't think that you will find a better golf course for value and excellent condition in this price bracket. From the moment you drive down the long approach to the course you know that your going to enjoy your round weather you play it well or not (mine wasn't ) When entering the clubhouse you are welcomed and made at ease by the wonderful staff and that carries on throughout your day Great practice facilities excellent service cannot wait to play it again and hopefully playing better

Fantastic golf club. Welcomed by staff at desk with free gifts for our group. Free access to range and free tea & coffee on arrival. Course in beautiful condition and has a feel about Wentworth about it. Enjoyed the day immensely.

Now this golf course is something else, it is probably the best golf course I have ever played. You cannot fault this golf course it is number 49 in the top UK golf courses and it definitely plays up to that, it was in absolute superb condition and if you get the chance to play it then you must play it

We all found Remedy a real gem. Would recommend it to anyone. Course was immaculate and the staff were really keen to help. The whole experience gets full marks. We will definitely play it again.

We were well received at Remedy Oak and enjoyed the tremendous lay out of this course. We are all average handicaps and managed to score reasonably well from the white tees. We only saw two golfers on the course!
