Accommodation at Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort & Spa

At Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, the spectacular guest rooms and suites are split into two wings. The Ocean Wing boasts 173 premier guest rooms which, like the name suggests, are ocean facing and provide discerning guests with spectacular views across the coastline. The rooms all measure at a spacious 90m2 and feature extravagant amenities to fill the space elegantly, including an oversized bathtub on the terrace as well as a daybed to soak up the sunshine. As the more exclusive properties at the resort, all rooms on the Ocean Wing come with a range of unique benefits such as complimentary breakfast, a fully stocked mini bar, extensive pillow menu and even an invitation for drinks and canapés in the wing’s courtyard.

On the other side of the resort is the Garden Wing, which is the product of a recent 20 million dollar refurbishment to match the opulent offerings in the Ocean Wing; it’s safe to say they have exceeded expectations. The wing is in a completely tranquil setting, bordered one side by exotic forest and a stunning stretch of fine sand meeting the South China Sea. The 326 rooms and suites are all designed in a typical Malaysian theme while maintaining the class and opulence you will see throughout the resort. Much like the Ocean Wing, there are five-star amenities in the rooms such as complimentary bathrobes, LCD TVs and a pillow menu. The balconies are fully furnished with two armchairs and a coffee table, allowing guests to enjoy the wonderful views of the forests or gardens. The rooms themselves boast spectacularly comfortable large beds which are met with marble bathrooms to complete the luxurious accommodation.

The resort’s brilliant beachfront location means that many exciting activities are just a stones throw away, including many water sports and leisure classes on the beach. Alternatively, if you have an eye for wildlife, then a walk through the majestic forests are perfect for exploring and guided walks are available too. Within the resort the main attraction is The Spa, offering wellness and bespoke treatments for all guests. The locally inspired therapy is designed to allow guests to bask in a serene environment and receive specialist massages and treatments for their whole body.
