The Mallard boasts 18 charming rooms which benefitted from an extensive renovation project in early 2021, with deluxe showers, top-of-the-range beds, flatscreen TVs, and high-speed WiFi all coming as standard. Guestrooms even boast views out over the local golf courses, meaning your next driver down the middle, iron shot into the heart of the green, or dare we say it 3-putt is never too far from your thoughts during your stay.

This dog-friendly hotel is ideally located to explore over 20 of the best golf courses in Scotland, and with Gullane Town and its charming local pubs and restaurants, as well as the stunning sandy beach just a few minute’s walk away; this is an ideal base for a Gullane Golf Tour.

In total, The Mallard Hotel is within a 15-20 minute drive of over 20 golf courses including the likes of Kilspindie, Archerfield (another Scottish Open host courses), Glen Golf Club, Renaissance Golf Club, Cragielaw, and even Musselburgh, the second oldest golf course in the world. Like we said; a haven for visiting golfers.

As far as food and drink go, The Mallard serves a cracking all-day brunch and boasts a superb lunch menu at The Bar, and also offers relaxed evening dining in the Lantern Room, which serves as an extension to The Bar; the perfect place to enjoy a more refined evening dining experience.

Absolutely lovely. Very friendly and super service. Have allready recommende it to others. Had a nice and large room, would have been a 5 star if it was overlooking the Gulland Hill.
