Abersoch Golf Club

Originally designed by the legendary Harry Vardon in 1907, the course offers a rich and varied experience. The first twelve holes are pure links, running through natural coastal dunes and hugging the shoreline. Here, the sea breeze and undulating terrain demand thoughtful shot-making, and straying from the fairway into the gorse or fescue can be severely penalising.

The highlight for many is the signature 246-yard par-3 3rd hole, which presents a thrilling test from an elevated tee. From here, you’ll need to carry both a water hazard and gorse to reach a sloping green, with a waiting bunker at the back. The course then transitions to a more parkland feel for holes 13 to 17, before returning to the links for the final hole. This blend ensures a round that keeps you guessing, requiring you to use every club in the bag.

The welcoming clubhouse provides the perfect place to unwind after your round, whether you want a drink on the patio overlooking the bay or a bite to eat in the restaurant. The friendly staff and a well-stocked bar with local beers on tap create a relaxed, hospitable environment. If you want to warm up before a round or work on your swing, the club also features an indoor golf simulator with state-of-the-art technology that can replicate famous courses from all over the world.

A mixture of links and parkland, nice stretch from holes 5 to 10 but very disappointing that we was not informed that it was green week by YGT so the greens were really poor and ruined the experience

Some great holes and views. Some fairways were very bare and some hard to navigate as marker posts for driving were very misleading on certain holes but that's to be expected on links courses. Food and staff very friendly. Great experience

Course was in good condition. First 12 holes were very difficult with a lot of blind shots and uneven lies. Last 6 holes were more open and easier. Greens were superb. Round took 5 hours to complete. Great views of the sea and surroundings on the front nine
