Similar to Faldo similar issues but not as bad as it’s a bit dryer area . We all loved the courses and challenge they set . ( yellow tees so a fair test for the older members 65/70 yes but for younger golfers long enough for a good test . Greens fast and tricky but did get quite footy with marks from pimples etc . But greens putted well on both courses. Holes moved within our 4 days so that was good . We placed as I felt that was fair to everyone on closely mown areas as some balls picked up mud after bad winter. I feel starters could give out an information sheet to advise the areas I’ve mentioned. The great thing was the extra golf that my son and another players son both 29 were able to go out in the afternoon and play again or the short course aswell. Having said this we are very keen to go back and will be in touch about next year . Bryn morris .
Spanning the resort’s rich valley land, the O’Connor Jnr Course is the perfect complement to Nick Faldo’s more undulating creation. The great Christy was well aware of the natural Algarve terrain, and deliberately carved his course to take full advantage of indigenous features, particularly the stunning orange groves.
The Amendoeira O’Connor Jnr Course is a part of the famous Amendoeira Resort, found in the heart of the Algarve, the O’Connor can be matched up with other epic local courses to create a golf break to remember.
