Unfortunately for whatever reason we found ourselves for 3 nights in what is referred to as the Annex. Although being assured that these were the best rooms, they had no air conditioning and no windows that could be opened to let air in. It was extremely uncomfortable conditions to sleep in especially with the increased temperatures. Although after complaining fans were found for the room but this was inadequate as clothes and bedding began to get damp with no outside air flow.
The usual buffet breakfast is no more and each morning the breakfast offered was bread, croissants, packet toast together with jams, tea, coffee and juice.
Staff in the morning were on most occasions very rude. It came to a climax when having played our morning golf to find that the chef had something to do and left at 2pm leaving no one to provide lunch of any kind. We were advised to go to Dieppe, over an hour away.
A meeting took place with management to voice these concerns and apparently we weren’t the only groups to have shared their views.
Not a happy time.
