3 Nights, 2 Rounds
Perched above Santa Ponsa beach, the all-inclusive Zafiro Rey Don Jaime makes a very easy base for a Majorca golf break. You're close to the action without feeling stuck in the noise, and the big win is how quickly you can get to the first tee. Santa Ponsa, Bendinat, Andratx and T-Golf Calvia are all around a ten-minute drive away, so you can mix up the week without spending half of it in the car.
It's a smart-looking hotel with the sort of service that suits golfers, efficient, friendly and geared up for people who want their day to run smoothly. When you're not playing, there's plenty to do on-site, with pools and wellness facilities that feel like a proper reset after 18 (or 36) in the sun. And if you fancy a change of scene, Santa Ponsa's shops, bars and seafront spots are within easy reach.
The key question is does it work for groups? In short, Yes. Between the location, the facilities and the range of dining and drink options, it's a solid choice for couples and small groups who want quality, comfort and quick access to multiple courses.
Who is this for?

Rooms at Zafiro Rey Don Jaime are geared towards comfort and convenience, which is exactly what you want on a golf trip. Doubles are a good fit for couples, while larger suites give small groups a bit more breathing space, especially handy if you're travelling with plenty of kit.
Expect modern, well-kept interiors, comfortable beds and enough storage for golf gear and luggage. Bathrooms are contemporary and practical, and many rooms come with a private balcony or terrace, ideal for a quiet coffee before you head out or a post-round catch-up when you get back. The views vary, some overlook the gardens, others the pool or surrounding area, but they all give you a decent spot to unwind after a day on the fairways.
The real value here is the space, if you've been stuck in a cramped hotel room after walking 18 holes in the heat, you'll appreciate having room to move, proper wardrobe space for your gear and a bathroom that doesn't feel like an afterthought. The suites with separate living areas work particularly well for groups of four or anyone who wants a bit of separation between sleeping and socialising.
The hotel's dining options deliver variety without overwhelming choice. You'll find a selection of bars and restaurants that cover everything from casual lunches by the pool to more formal evening meals in a setting that feels considered rather than rushed. The kitchens lean on local Majorcan specialities alongside international dishes, all prepared with quality ingredients and presented with care. It's the kind of dining experience that works well for unwinding after a long day walking the course, whether you're after something light or you want to make a proper evening of it.
The leisure facilities here are genuinely impressive. Multiple swimming pools give you options depending on your mood, whether you want a quiet dip or a livelier poolside atmosphere. The spa and wellness centre is a proper asset, offering treatments and facilities that help golfers recover from the physical demands of multiple rounds in warm weather. If you've walked 36 holes in the Majorcan sun, you'll understand why that matters.
The landscaped gardens provide a peaceful backdrop to the whole setup, adding to the sense that you're staying somewhere that takes its hospitality seriously. And when you're ready to explore, Santa Ponsa's local attractions, shopping streets and vibrant nightlife are all within easy reach, so you're not confined to the hotel if you want a change of scene. But equally, the hotel offers enough on-site to keep you entertained if you'd rather stay put.
For golfers, the real draw is the access. Four quality courses within a ten-minute drive means you can play a different layout each day without the hassle of long transfers or early starts. That's the kind of practical advantage that makes a golf break feel effortless rather than a logistical headache.

Rooms were very comfy. I had to upgrade by additional £200 as my allocated room was at back of hotel with no view whatsoever. This was disappointing. . Food was adequate but not very hot. Lunchtime experience outside was awful for 2 of us but ok for 4. Overall 6/10 rating.

Clean, comfortable, truly all-inclusive. Lovely roof-top pool & bar, great food in the snack bar as well as restaurant. Short walk to sandy beach for med swimming - towels provided by hotel. Would have been nice to have golf club storage on the ground floor instead of using our bedroom.
