Tucked into the hillside just west of Palma, Real Golf de Bendinat is the sort of course where I always have a quick look around before pulling a club. The views alone are worth the trip. The layout winds through a wooded landscape, with fairways framed by mature trees and plenty of elevation change to keep things interesting. From a few points on the course you'll spot Palma Bay below and Bendinat Castle sitting proudly above the property.
Measuring around 6,200 yards from the back tees, this par-70 doesn't try to overpower you with length. It's a more thoughtful test where placement matters, fairways can tilt and the trees ask you to shape shots rather than simply swing away. The slopes and tree lines make club selection interesting, especially when fairways fall away and leave you playing from a hanging lie. Bunkers are positioned to catch anything slightly loose and the greens tend to reward precision more than power.
With the climbs between holes, consider a buggy, especially if you're planning more than one round in a day. The upside is Mallorca's year-round golfing weather, so Bendinat is an easy pick for a short break, a winter escape or a Palma-based golf tour.
It also sits in excellent company. Santa Ponsa, Son Vida, Son Quint and Golf Son Muntaner are all within 15 minutes, which makes it simple to build a varied Mallorca itinerary without spending half the day in the car.
Who is this for?
Golfers looking for a scenic, strategic test in the hills above Palma, with enough variety and challenge to keep mid-to-low handicappers engaged and enough charm to appeal to anyone who values views and course character over pure yardage.
Who is it best for?
Players who enjoy target golf, shaping shots around trees and navigating elevation, and those building a Mallorca break around multiple courses in the Palma area who want something different from the flatter resort layouts nearby.

The original nine holes were put in place by the esteemed Martin Hawtree in 1986, and the layout was completed a decade later with the addition of the second nine-hole loop.
The par-70 course is a rewarding challenge for every golfer, winding through the spectacular trees, and is well worth a visit as part of any golfing holiday in Mallorca.

Temp clubhouse erected during refurb, however they kept it open and running which is good. Round was slow as stuck behind older players both women and men, however we were in good spirits still

Brilliant, will be outstanding when new clubhouse finished. Extremely tight off the tee. As per Muntaner course in great condition, great views etc etc etc

On arrival the club house was being renovated and there was just a tent with a hut to greet us, it would of been nice to know this beforehand as we may have booked elsewhere, couple of tee boxes were a bit dodgy, however the course itself was really nice and the views are stunning, it’s a difficult golf course and a good challenge, few things need improvement to rate it along side some other courses like gps in buggies and club cleaning at the end, I would still go back and no doubt it will be better when the club house etc are finished

What a course! Really well kept and challenging! Our group loved it, and most found it tough! Glad we hired buggies as it's a long walk with up and down holes. Can't comment on the facilities as the clubhouse was under renovation.

It was a very interesting course with the Castillo de Bendinat in the distance. Fairly easy fairways. We were very glad to be in buggies as there was quite a distance between holes. Scenery was fabulous. Clubhouse was closed for maintenance but we could get a drink from a mobile truck.

The course is located West of Palma airport, just a 20 minute drive away. Golfers tend to either stay in Santa Ponsa (15 minutes away) or Palma itself (20 minutes).
It is a par-70 with many different tree-lined and different elevation changes throughout. Whilst the golf course isn't that long, it is very testing against for all handicaps.
