About Rob

I have been in the Golf Travel industry for over 14 years, with particular focus on domestic UK & IRE travel, I currently play off of 18.

Having started my career at Your Golf Travel selling UK resorts, I then moved on to Golf Tours. Golf Tours are my favourite part of what we do here at Your Golf Travel.

No tour is ever the same and the abundance of golf courses throughout the UK & Ireland mean there are endless possibilities, from the high end Open Courses to the hidden gems like Llanymynech or Troon Lochgreen.

No matter your ability or budget a golf tour will always have something for you.

Call 0800 043 6644 to speak to Rob about planning your next golf trip.

Where Rob has Travelled

I have been lucky enough to travel pretty extensively for golf throughout the UK.

From Inverness and the likes of Nairn and Castle Stuart, down to Trevose and Perranporth in Cornwall. From Royal Cinque Ports and Princes in Kent to North Wales with Royal St. David's and Nefyn. Then across the Irish sea from Old Head in Kinsale up to Rosapenna in the North West of Ireland.

There really is not much that I cannot talk about or recommend playing in the UK & IRE, whether that be a resort based trip or a city centre hotel and local courses.

Further afield I have been lucky to play in Northern France, Spain and Portugal, as well as Perth in Australia, Oman and Bahrain.

Best Golf Courses Rob has Played

Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort 5* 19

Trump Turnberry

Ayrshire - Scotland

A majestic golf course with the Amen Corner of British golf, this is a place not to be missed with history abound but new beginnings as well & the halfway hut has a view like no other.

Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland

Royal Portrush

Northern Ireland

Nothing more to say than the best course in the UK&IRE, hosting The Open twice in quick succession underlines the pure class of the course.

Kingsbarns Golf Links 5

Kingsbarns Golf Links

Fife - Scotland

The young contender, but a brilliant layout with holes that would make anyone's top 18, and a fantastic Scottish welcome is always due in the understated club house.

Royal Porthcawl Golf Club - Hole 7

Royal Porthcawl

Mid Glamorgan - Wales

The best course in Wales, you ease into the course with a couple of straightforward holes, however it gets tougher and tougher with blind shots and undulating fairways. Do not miss the historical clubhouse whilst you are here.

The Old Course St Andrews, Scotland

Old Course St Andrews

Fife - Scotland

It is not just The Old Course but the "Auld Grey Toun", everything in this place exuberates of golf. The knowledge of golfers gone before as you walk down the famous fairways, but a Birdie on 18 really helps.

Royal Cinque Ports, Kent

Royal Cinque Ports

Kent - England

A more traditional Links course with blind shots and marker posts, the clubhouse continues in this manner with jacket and tie required for lunch or dinner in the restaurant a very friendly and warm welcoming club to visit.

Golf Destinations on Rob's Bucket List

Augusta National 13

The Masters

Georgia - USA

I still have a few bucket list trips to take the top of this is The Masters, following the joys of being to the Ryder Cup & The Open this is one I need to get to.

Pebble Beach Golf Links 19

Pebble Beach Golf Links

California - USA

Other courses that are a must for me are getting over for some Californian sun and playing Pebble Beach for obvious reasons.

Valderrama Golf Club 13

Valderrama

Costa del Sol - Spain

The final place I want to get to on my wish list would be Valderrama to see the first European destination to hold a Ryder Cup.
