The 1996 Solheim Cup headed to South Wales to be played at the incredibly popular Old Course at St Pierre Golf Club.
Having lost the opening morning foursomes 3.5 / 1.5, Europe were looking like they were up against it but a fantastic display of golf saw Europe leading 9-7 going into the final days singles.
A devastating display of golf followed with Team USA winning the final days singles 10-2, resulting in a 17-11 win, one of the largest in recent years.
The Championship Old Course at St Pierre has held a host of professional tournaments and offers stunning views across Chepstow and beyond. The 18th is a the signature hole with a 235-yard par-3 over a lake, quite the finish for anyone looking to finish the round in style.

❝The finish on the Old Course at St Pierre involves negotiating the 17th green which is almost surrounded by an expansive water hazard, and the final hole contains a difficult elevated green.❞
