With the spectacular backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, Assoufid was designed by former European Tour player Niall Cameron, and features generous fairways that cut their way through the desert wasteland, giant bunkers which should be avoided at all costs, subtle slopes, and the odd dramatic elevation change, most notably at the par 3 17th; all of which will test a golfers skillset.
For lower handicappers, the course can stretch to well over 7,000 yards, so Assoufid is very much in the “championship golf” mold, with other courses in the Marrakech area offering a more friendly test of golf. That’s not to say higher handicappers can’t take their games to Assoufid and test their skills. From the forward tees, the golf course plays to a much more manageable 5,500 yards.
Ranked as the 5th best golf course in all of Morocco and located less than half an hour from the heart of Marrakech itself, Assoufid is an ideal inclusion on any Morocco Golf Holiday.

The same as my comments on Al Maaden in general but we played the course twice and on the first round a fairway was being scarified and new top soil/seeding being laid down which made the surface very difficult to play off. Sadly we found on our second round that all the fairways on the back 9 had also undergone the same maintenance and took away a lot of the pleasure of playing this lovely course.

Great layout, but course wasnt in great condition. few of the holes had more sand on the fairways than in the bunkers. Some nice holes, but it was just the condition that let it down

Front 9 was ok, back 9 was a building site, greens were barren greens were ok, club house poor, staff unhelpful, 41'c no water no drink buggy, no ice, overall, very poor

Course needs a lot of TLC. Tees weren’t cut, was like hitting out the semi rough, no fairway definition and long grass. Greens the best part and they weren’t the best.

Very interesting course incorporating elements of desert with bare areas requiring long carries and strategic palms to add to the vistas Thoroughly recommended for a different type of golf experience

Good course with lots of risk and reward. Needs a bit of loving around the edges compared to other courses and greens a bit slow. Well worth playing. Clubhouse small but quaint, and service good
