Winner of Morocco’s & Africa’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards, Assoufid offers the premier golf experience in Marrakech, and with no less than 5 sets of tees that can change the total length of the course by almost 2000 yards; a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging game of golf is on the cards here for golfers with a great variety of handicaps.
With the spectacular backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, Assoufid was designed by former European Tour player Niall Cameron, and features generous fairways that cut their way through the desert wasteland, giant bunkers which should be avoided at all costs, subtle slopes, and the odd dramatic elevation change, most notably at the par 3 17th; all of which will test a golfers skillset.
For lower handicappers, the course can stretch to well over 7,000 yards, so Assoufid is very much in the “championship golf” mold, with other courses in the Marrakech area offering a more friendly test of golf. That’s not to say higher handicappers can’t take their games to Assoufid and test their skills. From the forward tees, the golf course plays to a much more manageable 5,500 yards.
Ranked as the 5th best golf course in all of Morocco and located less than half an hour from the heart of Marrakech itself, Assoufid is an ideal inclusion on any Morocco Golf Holiday.

Very enjoyable course with great features. Stay on the fairways or you're in very stoney waste areas! Greens were great and receptive. The clubhouse was great!

This was the least enjoyable course we played. Lots of scruffy waste ground you needed to carry 150-200yrds to make the fairway. Staff rude and unhelpful

Probably the hardest course we played this week due to the undulating fairways taking the ball off into stoney wasteland or the odd ravine on occasions. Don't damage your clubs, agree before hand with your playing partners to move the ball back onto some grass if your not on a sandy base. Its the same for everone then, as it will happen on a couple of occasions to everyone. A bit further out from our hotel than the other courses we played. Oh and we did see the only snake of the week whilst visiting the ravine at this course. Overall though a great test of golf and it sits No3 on our list of fav's for the week. 1 Al Madden 2 Samanah 3 Assoufid 4 Royal Marrakech
