Belek enjoys a warm climate for the majority of the year. June-August can become extremely hot, but the rest of the year sees largely ideal conditions for golf.

When to go

While holidays to Belek are very popular during the peak summer months, golf breaks are more suited to the slightly cooler seasons, particularly autumn and spring. You can take advantage of lower prices during winter when the mild temperatures are still very much conducive to golf, albeit with a slightly increased chance of rain.

Belek is without doubt Turkey’s golfing capital, boasting 14 courses all within close proximity of each other. As the penultimate stop on the European Tour, the Turkish Airlines Open naturally draws huge attention, especially when the Race to Dubai is just around the corner. The Montgomerie Maxx Royal played host to the tournament from 2013 to 2015 and is a magnificent championship test designed by none other than Colin Montgomerie. Since then, the even has moved to Regnum Carya, a heathland course which saw Justin Rose reign victorious in 2017. Other mentions have to go to the Old Course at Gloria Golf Resort which hosts the Turkish Airlines Challenge over on the Challenge Tour and the PGA Sultan Course at Antalya Golf Club which also saw Justin Rose win the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final in 2012.
