From the tips, the course is 6,411 yards, which by today’s standards is relatively modest, but the subtle design formulated by RTJ serves up both fantastic entertainment and a stern challenge. Bordered by banks of indigenous bushes and scrub, the fairways twist and turn, demanding accurate driving and precision approach play.

Trent Jones’ creation is much loved by regular visitors to Marbella, and the town’s golf and country club remains among the most desirable golf holiday options along the Costa Del Sol.

Feels a bit tired and despite booking and paying for 2 x 3 balls with 4 buggies they wanted us to take another 2 randoms and play 2 x 4 balls. We nearly walked out. Lovely starter who we knew (Colin) worked it out but another con in the buggies

Overall impression of this course is negative, no real flow to it, no definitive line of sight to play the holes, course planner non effective, easy to get lost on this course- Our group of 8 with handicaps between 2 & 11 lost 37 balls, tells you everything! Would definitely not return, play Santa Clara next door instead.

Unusual course in that front 9 are quite hilly and not very well maintained, back 9 is a lot flatter and pristine. Good shop and lovely club house.

I play off 6 and my wife 25. We were put out with two people that are well known to the club. The man was 84 years old and did not have a clue. The woman did not have a clue either. They kept running across our lines when putting and did not know the first thing about golf
