El Camaleon is a brilliant venue for this PGA Tour event, boasting a unique layout with surreal surroundings.
The immaculate fairways are often bordered by thick mangroves, stunning lagoons and even a golden beach; these surroundings create a serene yet exciting 18 holes which while breathtaking, are certainly challenging.
Accuracy and course-management are pivotal to any golfer playing this magnificent course, which was of course originally designed by Greg Norman.

Mexico has a semi-tropical climate and is the perfect place for a sunshine break with an average yearly temperature of 25°C, definitely warm enough for shorts on the course. It would be also very wise to pack the sunglasses with 8 hours of sunshine everyday.
The closest airport to El Camaleon is Cancun International Airport which is just 40 minutes away. A taxi from the airport to East Lake will cost around $60. There are daily flights to Cancun from London flying with British Airways.
