Al Maaden Golf Resort Marrakech

The Al Maaden course is characterized by its meticulously maintained fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and beautifully landscaped water features. One unique aspect of the course is the incorporation of rectangular pools, paying homage to the famous Menara gardens of Marrakech.

The results are spectacular, as Phillips has used his undeniable gift to manipulate the varied terrain, in so creating a course that assimilates perfectly with its surrounding environment. The indigenous foliage punctuates the landscape, where Phillips course is a measured challenge that can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.

Unlike the great architect's other projects, notably Kingsbarns, Al Maaden has not been created with the aim of becoming an international tournament venue. Rather, it is a gem that is sure to be enjoyed by generations of golfers for years to come.

Very well maintained and good greens. European tour venue and Ladies tour venue. Clubhouse very nice, food good but service reactive. Lots of variety on holes with risk and reward good. Great course

Great start to the week. Resort course so a little more open but challenging enough. Course was pretty much empty bar the green keepers and us.
