The Chateau Des Vigiers estate dates back to the 16th century and its internationally renowned luxury Hotel, Golf and Spa facilities are the pride of the Dordogne region in South West France.
The original Donald Steel design has been added to but the layout stays true to the original designers philosophy of allowing the terrain to dictate the style of the course, and the results are spectacular. The impeccable condition of the courses means there can surely be few more special places to enjoy holiday golf than this charming corner of Aquitaine.

Located within 100 acres of parkland, the wooden beams and stone interiors of the Saint-Malo Golf Resort's hotel gives it a 19th century style design while the famous walled city of Saint-Malo is just 25 minutes away.
The parkland-style layout is built around Mirloup Lake meaning some of the holes contain water hazards, one one hand this increases the demand for accuracy but it also offers the golfer picturesque views throughout their round.

As home to some of the best golf courses in the world, France has a host of superb designs ranging from stunning links courses to mature parklands. The likes of Les Bordes, Morfontaine and Chantilly are amongst the most sought after but there are a host of superb golf courses to explore across the many excellent regions of France. The most popular golfing region is found in Northern France where the likes of Le Touquet and Hardelot are very well-trodden courtesy of the easy transport from Calais to play these tree-lined courses that could be very at home in the likes of Surrey or Berkshire. France has a very varied climate with the North of France being relatively similar to England and the South enjoying amazing summers which can make for some unforgettable golfing trips.
