Golf Les Dunes sits on the edge of Agadir's Club Med Resort and is rightly rated among North Africa's standout courses. It's a 27-hole complex designed by Mediterranean specialist Cabell B. Robinson, the name behind Costa del Sol favourites such as La Cala and Finca Cortesin, and it has that familiar Robinson theme throughout: think angles, options and proper course management.
The fairways roll through sandy ground, native scrub and tall eucalyptus, with bunkering that frames targets and pinches landing areas when you get greedy from the tee. Water appears often enough to keep you honest without turning the day into a ball-searching exercise. In other words, it's more about placing the ball in the right part of the fairway than simply swinging hard and hoping.
One of the big perks here is variety. The three loops of nine can be mixed and matched, so a two or three-round break doesn't feel like the same 18 on repeat. You'll also find plenty of tee options, which makes it a solid shout for mixed-ability groups. Conditions often play firm, and the ball can really run in the warmer months, so allow for a bit of roll and pick your landing spots carefully.
If you're the type who likes to work the ball rather than just lash driver all day, you'll have a lot of fun here. The layout rewards shape and placement over brute force, and there's enough variety across the 27 holes to keep things interesting whether you're playing 18 or tackling the full set.

Just outside Agadir, the landscape is punctuated by eucalyptus and stands of broom trees, which presented Robinson with a remarkably beautiful blank canvas. In typipcal style, he took full advantage, manufacturing a golf course that is as beautiful as it is enjoyable. Played from the championship tees, it has enough teeth to challenge even the most talented golfers, yet the separate sets of tees ensure that the layout is accessible for players of all standards.
Since its 1999 inception, Golf Les Dunes has been at the forefront of the golfing boom in Morocco, and remains one of the country's most attractive courses today.

Lovely course that you have to plot your way round, but a great challenge for all levels. No paths so can get a bit confusing at times but not really an issue. Greens in fantastic condition. Not much more other than changing rooms for facilities. No club house etc

A slightly quirky course which has less appeal for us than its neighbour, Golf du Solei. There were quite a few blind shots which I'm not a fan of having never played the course before. The off - course facilities are undergoing complete redevelopment so there was no bar or food available.

Great course. Good tees, fairways and greens. No facilities to talk about. Best to take all your own water etc., play your round, then get back to the hotel.

We enjoyed this course. Very challenging and unusual. Some parts of the course were hard to follow and felt a bit off road in the buggy but we didn’t mind that. No club house facilities really and we again would have liked to have a buggy come round with drinks and snacks.

Nice course in good condition. Clubhouse not open, just the shop for selling clothes etc. Nowhere even to buy a bottle of water there.
