Mijas Golf

Very nice course. Great for a new golfer as ot has a similar feel to courses in the uk. Some veey enjiyable holes over water and a great range of facilities.

Greens lightning quick, good course, we voted it the best of the three we played, (for a 12 man trip), for a mix of handicaps from 3 to 18. Always like Mijas.

Better than expected course. Quite an open course but very long so good for all skill levels but good tee shots needed. Facilities were basic but ok

A flat course which suited us. Greens good.

Greens were the best of the 4 courses easily. A beautiful course one where you could probably walk it and still enjoy it.

Hilly course buggies a must but fair for the average golfer

After Calanova this course was a breeze, as the name implies there is a lot of water on this course. They were doing a lot of major reconfiguration around several holes but it didn't affect the game. Tees, fairways and greens were all in good condition, although the fringes around greens needed a little attention. The clubhouse was a little tired, but the beer and food was good enough.

Very wet course.over watered.lots of construction going on all over course perhaps when everything is finished it will be a good place to play

The course and clubhouse was incredible! really friendly and helpful staff and the food was good and very efficient, the only thing to let it down was no cart coming round serving drinks, it was over 30deg and we were all struggling by the 5/6th hole without any, we called for someone to come on buggies but it never happened

The layout of the course wasn't bad but the greens were in poor condition and the bunkers were absolutely unplayable as they were all full of big stones and rocks. A couple of our boys damaged their clubs early on in the round so we had to make the decision to take relief and not play them at all. Wouldn't ever play this course again.

NICE COURSE

Felt a bit underwhelmed on arrival compared to some courses nearby, facilities felt a bit tired and the clubhouse welcome was a bit rushed as their systems were down and everything was scribbled on paper. Once out on the course however, we really enjoyed the challenging layout, which was open enough to accommodate those of us less accurate off the tee! Very sandy greens led to some difficult bobbly putts, but the greens were well positioned for enjoyable approaches to all pin positioned.

Good course with some long tough holes

The course was in good condition. It seemed quite a long course, but it gave you a chance to score points.

Late arrival due to not enough time allowed for the journey by the transfer company so no time to settle and prepare. Paired with a man and wife who played off reds so took longer and therefore badgered again by the marshals to speed up. Eventually split up to ease the situation. Another great course. Buggy and meals excellent again.

Joined up with two gents...one decent, sociable golfer from France and a single minded, grumpy man from Spain. The Spanish guy seemed like he wanted to play on his own. He would go straight to his ball, no matter where it was and didn't care if his buggy was blocking your shot. He was ignorant and his etiquette was questionable. Spoiled the round!

Rapid greens - only downside was the same in the bunkers - very grainy and not much in them.

Played Lagos. Super Robert Jones course. Track was in excellent shape including the greens (fast snd true). Loved this course. Very unique facilities. Great shop for a bargain buy.

The quality of the course got better as you went on with the back 9 definitely being the better 9. The bunkers were pretty much unplayable with little to no sand in them which really took away from an other wise good course.

Only managed 9 holes due to rain but thoroughly enjoyed the holes we played and the facilities

Great track, something for everyone. It’s long!

Excellent underfoot, although not links, felt like one underfoot. Greens were quick and true, and a good mixture of easier holes to ones where you have to plot your way around the many water hazards. A really good golf course, and better underfoot than the likes of Chapperal. It's more like a members course, than corporate type.

So many bunkers and water make it a challenging course to play.

Maintenance going on with 4-5 holes which wasn’t the best but still able to play them. Greens were a bit of a disappointment but played on much worse. Still a brilliant course

Nice condition not a lot of variation in the design, slightly spoilt by the urban position, bunkers are massive and shallow some tricky water holes !

Great course and setup with friendly staff. Greens where true and quick. Only trouble is it's becoming run down and fairways are full of divots. That bad we called pick and place on fairways. Great back 9 on los lagos

Greens were terrible, complaint to yourselves was a waste of time. Course told us on day that they had informed you about conditions, this was poor service from your golf travel and not what I expected.

Best course of the tour a big improvement on this course from previous years.

Really nice resort, the course was in good condition and a good test of golf. The course is not overly tight but there is a considerable amount of water about along with tall trees, but you find your ball, chip out and move on. Greens were nice pace and good to putt on. Overall a great course and good facilities, would definitely recommend for a visit.

This is the lesser of the two courses. It was a good layout and enjoyable course.

Course we played was great and so were the facilities. However there was no buggies left and this was a disappointment.

The course was about average, the 90° buggie rule makes it a lot harder to gauge not knowing what club to take slowed us up considerably because of this.

Played here in strong wind which made the course extra hard. Water comes into play on a lot of holes! Greens very fast compared to the UK

Course and facilities were good. Very open with fast greens only downside for me was majority of greens were up hills to make it difficult to attack. It gets a bit monotonous.

Poor condition of bunkers, which adversely affected our rounds given that the majority of greens are surrounded by bunkers. Won’t consider this course again.

Weather fantastic good company add’s to the enjoyment of the golf.

Paired with a couple of men from Denmark. Staff not very welcoming on arrival. First tee untidy and under construction. Rest of course good. Quite a few shots over water. Enjoyed the round and a snack and beer afterwards.

This course was in excellent condition, the greens were fast and true. Best course we played on our trip.

Good for our group

There was a lot of ground works with greens staff working on the course. It was clear that they were working hard to upgrade the course standard and condition. The greens were good, fairways were good but some of the tees were in need to TLC. Great views, staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Not enough signage directing you to the next tee which could be and was confusing at times. Probably the poorest course we played however still an enjoyable experience.

Decent course, tough holes, not as attractive as some in area but a great test

You could see in front of you what you have to do. Very forgiving off the tee but the approach shots to the greens had to be very accurate because they were well protected

As a three ball we had a local with us who was able to help guide us. Overall friendly club but definitely not in the same league as the other two clubs.

Fastest, trickiest greens that we encountered all week.

Very hard lots of water even low handicap golfers would struggle to stop ball on greens. Will not go back.

Excellent bar and good burger. This was the only course we wouldn't like to play again. Scruffy course in places, very slow, but I suppose this was reflected in the cheaper price. But still great fun - I suppose we had been spoiled by the first three days which were all superb.

The course is very good and a perfect partner to los Lagos.

Really enjoyed this course once again despite all the ponds around the course.

A better course than Los Lagos and a pleasure to play. Some lovely holes and nice views. Only down side was the restaurant stopped serving food by the time we finished at 6pm.

Golf shop staff abrupt and unhelpful

Mijas offers good value for money and is an ideal course for golfers with mixed abilities. Its generally quite open and the only negative comment I have, is that the greens felt slow, albeit consistent.

A good experience from start to finish. Only fault was our tee off time was scheduled for around 1030hrs and when we arrived at the course we were told our tee-off time was 1200hrs. I am not sure if it was the course fault or the fault of YGT.

First visit due to Santana being closed. Overall average pleased to have somewhere to play. Would play again on the other course. The water holes were a really good test of golf difficult for higher handicaps.

Pretty good course, just a bit monotonous at times. Holes in the mountain are great. 7/10

group liked this course and would include in next golf holiday. the scores reflected the enjoyment level. worth a visit especially for golfers playing spanish golf for first time

We apparently only had 1 buggie between 3 of us on this course which was very frustrating as one of us had to walk.

Our group have played Olivos many times and it provides us with a test that is exactly what we are looking for. On down side on a very hot day no drinks buggy doing the rounds

Nice and open off the tee all our group enjoyed it.

Superb last day will go back to the last 2courses

The whole party thoroughly enjoyed this course, it was in great nick, the staff were very friendly, only moan was the lack of drinks cart on the course, no cart for the whole 18, and it was HOT!!

This was a course well used by less experienced golfers and it was evident in the overall facilities.

It’s a bit flat but helps the high handicap and we got a few in our gang but still in good condition been twice so will move on and try it again soon

Ok but after la Cala didn't stack up but pleasant having said that, facilities dated staff a bit stand offish.

Disappointed with this course. We had been looking forward to play on this course as we had played Los Olivios on a previous visit. The course had been hollow tinned the week before our arrival (had I known would have booked a different course). The fairways were spongy and a few pebbles and sand as they had been spiked. The greens I thought played ok considering the hollow tinning. The course itself is a test of your skill around the greens, there are very few approaches to the greens were you do not have to go over bunkers or water, so if you like to land short and roll onto the green forget it.

Played here before and enjoyed the course again will return

Having played there on a number of occassions it was no surprise to gind it is as good as ever. Again all plusses.

All staff were very polite.

Nice course

Again another course I would recommend some lovely holes some with water that do come in to play. A long course that you need to get a good drive off the tee. If you play before 11.00 the usually won’t let buggies on the fairway till after this and the are very strict about this

Super course that challenges the long game long par 4's lots of hybrid and 4 irons for second shots lots of water that makes it very interesting. Lovely par 3's that very in length from 7 Iron to 3 iron. The only blot was the bunkers no sand in them which makes greensise shots difficult and there are lots and lots of bunkers, however this would not stop me playing again.
