The course features rectangular ponds that pay homage to the famous Menara gardens of Marrakesh. The course also showcases 12 monumental sculptures that were created by renowned artists especially for Al Maaden golf.
The course offers a variety of challenges for most golfers, with strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and undulating greens. The views of the Atlas mountains are stunning and add to the beauty of the landscape.
Al Maaden golf also has a driving range, a putting green, an approach green and practice bunkers.
Al Maaden golf is part of Al Maaden Golf Resort, which includes luxury villas, apartments and hotels.
Condition of course was good.
However, the club does run out of buggies and Pro Shop were very helpful if finding a buggy without a front screen that was not being used.
The pace of play is just over 4 hours as most groups are 4 balls. So whilst easily walkable, if a 2 ball, the buggy does offer shade and somewhere to sit whilst waiting to take your next shot.
There are toilets on the course which were clean and well maintained, but there is no drinking water anywhere on the course.
