As its name suggests, Les Pins is carved through Hardelot's magnificent pine forest, and the course has a rich tradition. Originally presided over by the Duke of Argyll, there is a strong British link at this French classic, but the course really came to the fore with Tom Simpson's 1934 redesign.
The host of many prestigious national and international professional events, Les Pins is a subtle course that demands accuracy and sound strategy above all else. Measuring 6,480 yards, the course is not long, but the greens are tricky and a tight short game will be needed to tame this established championship layout.

Les Dunes is Hardelot's second course designed by Paul Rollin and Jean-Claude Cornillot. Les Dunes typifies the Côte d'Opale landscape, set amid the delightful dunes, lakes and mature woodland.
The 5,834 yard layout is distinctly different in character to its illustrious neighbour, but this diversity makes Hardelot all the more attractive. Watch out for the subtly sloping putting surfaces, closely guarded by strategically positioned bunkers.

A bit micky mouse. Very up and down. Busy. Managed to change our tee time so we could play as a 2 ball which was good. Nice club house balcony for post round drinks overlooking the 18th green.

As with all courses in Europe, the course had been burnt out by the weather this year. They have done a great job of protecting the greens, but some of the fairways have really suffered. The team there were wonderful, and despite the obvious challenge they have with the grass, it is still a great course

Probably the favourite course for the majority of our group (we played Les Pins, Les Dunes and Belle Dune), similar in many ways to Les Pins but with some added water and elevation changes to add to the interest. Great club house with an elevated Veranda overlooking the first and eighteenth holes/ lake. Probably the best greens and fairways of the 3 courses.

An interesting parkland course with good greens, ideal for average golfers (like our group), plenty of trees but the rough below them was open so not too many balls lost!
