Golf Las Americas is right on the doorstep of Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos, so it's an easy choice if you want a quality round without trekking across the island. It's a proper resort-course look, with bright green fairways running through pockets of woodland and Tenerife's volcanic mountains sitting in the background. If you're anything like me, you'll end up taking a couple of extra photos between shots.
In play, Las Americas asks you to think your way round rather than simply lash driver everywhere. Keep it straight, pick your moments and it's very enjoyable, but there's still enough going on to keep better players interested. With year-round sunshine (especially compared with a British winter) and a lively south-coast base on the doorstep, it's a strong all-rounder for a Tenerife golf holiday.
Who is this for?
Golfers staying in the main southern resorts who want a reliable, well-kept round close to the hotel.
Who is it best for?
Players who like scenic golf and a slightly strategic test that you'd happily play twice in the same trip.

The par-72 layout measures 6,607 yards, and is punctuated by charming streams and waterfalls, making it a special place to play. The undulating greens are particularly challenging, and the locals will always advise you to keep the ball below the hole to leave an uphill putt.
The proximity of the golf course to the most popular tourist areas makes Golf Las Americas a firm favourite with Tenerife regulars, and comes highly recommended.

Beautiful course had to play front 9 twice due to maintenance which was a shame. Very picturesque course would have been great to have been able to experience the back 9

Of the 3 course we played on our golf trip this was the least incredible and also the easiest. But saying that, it was still great to play, with great views, good condition and some interesting holes. Well organised at reception and a starter on first tee. No drinks buggy on course though which was disappointing but food in clubhouse afterwards was very good. We got started on the 10th and it was a bit slow. Also a little annoying that we then had to wait to start the back 9 with couple of groups on the first as we were finishing the 18th and there was no starter to be found at that point. But small gripes really for what was a very nice course to play and I would certainly play again.
