Golf Torrequebrada

The course features a number of dog-legs which make accurate driving very important, while the clever design incorporates strategically positioned bunkers that are significant obstacles. Torrequebrada is known for its excellent condition, with terrific greens that are a true joy to putt.

During a golf holiday in the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, a round here comes highly recommended.

Signature Hole: Hole 11, Par 3, 164 metres (179 yards), SI 14

Torrequebrada's par 3 11th is a picturesque hole. Almost everywhere but the green means trouble, with a large lake stretching in front of the tee, up until the green area, which is surrounded by bunkers to the front and left and trees on the right.

We played the front 9 twice due to maintenance on the back 9. What we weren’t told was that the front 9 had had maintenance the week prior and everywhere was in a post maintenance condition, the greens where covered in sand, and the fairways had been airated. Additionally two of the 6 buggies we hired ran out of charge when we were playing. Saying all that though We would return it was just bad timing that so much greens maintenance was underway.

A great course and some fantastic views out to sea. I didn't give it 5 stars as it was let down by the attitude of one or two of the staff. They were not rude but not very helpful on us being informed we were being joined by another player at the very last moment, causing a difficulty on who pays buggy.

A stunning course and a really stern challenge for our group. Almost every tee shot demanded great accuracy or you would struggle to score. Lots of elevated tees with fabulous views. Quite incredible how the course weaved between villas. Excellent condition.
